On April 9–10, 2026, AVK participated in the “Catalysts 2026” conference in Krasnodar, delivering a presentation as part of the business program, showcasing its “Refining Catalysts” division in the exhibition area, and acting as one of the conference sponsors. The event was organized by Energy Leader.

During the session “Overview of Operated Catalytic Systems,” Stanislav Glagolenko, Head of the Refining Catalysts Division at AVK, discussed the impact of refinery catalyst technical service on refinery economics. He analyzed the main financial risks associated with catalyst operation, including losses in product quality and yield, prolonged downtime during loading and startup, unscheduled shutdowns, and rising operating costs.

“The cost of a catalyst is only a part of the total cost of ownership of a catalytic system. The economics of a refinery directly depend on how loading, activation, and monitoring are carried out,” noted Stanislav Glagolenko.

On the sidelines of the conference, AVK specialists held meetings with technologists and heads of technical services from oil refineries and petrochemical enterprises, as well as with partners. The parties exchanged experience in operating catalytic systems and outlined directions for further cooperation.

The conference also served as a platform for dialogue with the academic community, featuring presentations in the program by representatives from the Boreskov Institute of Catalysis of the SB RAS, the A.V. Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis of the RAS (TIPS RAS), and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
